Welcome Reception and Poster Presentations

Sunday, September 23 7:00pm-9:00pm – Wildrose Centre

Meet new contacts and reconnect with old friends at the Welcome Reception. Poster presentations will be on display and this will be your only opportunity to discuss the posters with the authors. Cocktails (one free drink ticket and cash bar) and appetizers will be served. The Welcome Reception is included with main conference registration. Additional tickets may be purchased for $60.


OEMAC Annual Dinner and Awards Banquet

Monday, September 24, 6:30 pm – Wildrose North & Centre

Join us for cocktails from 6:30 – 7:30 pm. The dinner will begin at 7:30 pm followed by the awards presentations. The evening will conclude with entertainment by local performers. The OEMAC Annual Dinner and Awards Banquet is included in the main conference registration. Additional tickets can be purchased for $100.


Offsite Educations Tours

Delegates can choose one of the two offsite tours offered on Monday, September 24 from 4:15 pm – 6:00 pm. The fee is $20 per person.

Cargill

Cargill-PhotoCargill, High River is one of Canada’s largest fully integrated beef processing facilities with harvest, fabrication, rendering and hide operations all under one roof.  The plant employs approximately 2,100 employees, processes 4,500 head of cattle per day and is an industry leader when it comes to Health and Safety.  At Cargill, we strive to empower our community to move towards their optimal level of health and wellness.  We focus on an individual’s ability and incorporate health prevention and promotion activities to ensure our team members go home in better condition than when they arrive.  During the visit, you will have the opportunity to participate in a guided tour of the production floor and experience our industry leading Health & Wellness Department.

 

 

WestJet

CaptureThis offsite educational tour will begin with a presentation on aviation health hazards by Johnathan Fleming, CPHR, RN, Senior Manager – Safety. The group will then be taken on a guided tour of the WestJet hangar including aircraft. The tour will be led by Darwin Treichel, Operational Auditor.
